Opportunities ran abundant on this premium desert lot at the base of iconic Camelback Mountain in Phoenix, Arizona. The gently sloping site was lush with non-native landscaping and promised spectacular views of the Camelhead geological formation at the West end of the mountain. There were
just two problems; the existing house didn’t take full advantage of the prized site, and a two-story Mediterranean villa across the street disturbed their view of majestic Camelhead. The new owners embraced the breezy al fresco lifestyle that draws so many to Arizona and requested living quarters for their children who would come and go as they navigated young adulthood. We knew this was a chance for our expertise in design for indoor/outdoor living to shine, and to help our clients connect better with the desert’s natural resources.
